Position Description

Cardiothoracic Surgery PA-C, Florida, 4-Day Workweek

Locums opportunity with a high-volume surgical team in Clearwater; weekday shifts and rotating call starting January 2026.


Highlights

  • 4x10 schedule; Monday through Thursday
  • Long-term locums assignment in coastal Florida
  • Beeper call rotation: 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month


Practice Setting

  • Inpatient role on a dedicated CV/CT surgical team
  • Beeper call coverage required
  • Charting in Cerner


Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Night call: 1 in 5 rotation, 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • One weekend of call per month


Cases and Procedures

  • First assist in CV and CT surgeries
  • Vein harvesting proficiency required
  • Full perioperative support responsibilities


Requirements

  • PA-C with cardiovascular surgery experience
  • Florida license required
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified


Travel Accommodations

  • Flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage all covered
