ARNP Advocacy & CALL TO ACTION!

Hello CFANPC!

Your executive board met for a long and motivating meeting tonight. We are hard at work for our profession and our membership! We want you to know that advocating for our profession and promoting the advanced practice nursing role is our main priority!

We are in receipt of multiple communications and complaints regarding an issue with the "Medical staff campus coordinator" and Florida Hospital Kissimmee regarding their recent mass email & instructions for ARNPs using the "Dictation room" within the "Physician lounge". The email is viewed by some as demeaning and disrespectful (See attachment to read actual communication). We want our membership to know we are actively investigating the concerns and plan to work with Florida Hospital to remedy the situation.

The board was also taken back by the message. We would like to know if there are any other practice / professional related issues at other organizations, hospital systems or facilities. Professionalism, communication and collaboration are key to effective healthcare environments. Additionally you are encouraged to send any / all comments to any member of the CFANPC board. All private communication will be kept confidential, and no names will be shared with any organizations.
