The Elections are Coming!! The Elections are Coming!!

That's right nurse leaders the elections are coming and we need you!! Please consider a board or committee member position. Submit your information to us quickly as voting will begin after our October Meeting.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to network, lobby, and be an active participant to further our profession. Board members are eligible for a year's free membership to Central Florida Advance Practice Nursing Council. Please SEE BELOW for available board positions and committee positions. Students are welcome to join our committees. Elections will be held mid-October through mid-November.

If you are interested or have further questions, please email us at cfl_arnps@yahoo.com. Interested candidates should submit a short bio to include your name, position you are interested in, summary of education and work experience, and why you are seeking this position.

We are currently looking for the following board members for 2018

  • President-Elect/Vice President: Performs the duties of the president in his/her absence. After a year of mentorship the vice president will assume the role of president at the end of their term.

  • Secretary-Elect: After mentorship. Will keep and maintain all meeting minutes.

  • Treasurer-Elect: After mentorship will be in charge of the funds and records. Reports financial status of the council.
  • COMMITTEES - Need Chairperson & Members!

  • Nominations Committee: Coordinates annual elections.
  • Membership Committee: Coordinates memberships and renewals.
  • Hospitality Committee: Promotes the growth of membership. Coordinates sign in at meetings.
  • Education/Program Committee: Coordinates monthly meetings and education offerings.

  • Website Committee: Assist with website enhancement and maintenance.
  • Legislative Committee: Serves as a resource pertaining to issues related to scope and practice.
  • Scholarship Committee: Coordinates the selection of scholarship recipients.
  • Social Networking & Media Committee: Serves to coordinate engaging members by increasing communication via social networking interfaces.
