YOUR SUPPORT IS CRITICAL!!!

The Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners (FLANP) has learned the Florida Medical Association (FMA) has launched a major fundraising campaign to block passage of House Bill 821 (NP Full Practice Authority Bill).  The NP community needs to respond.

We Need to Counter Attack with a media campaign to set the record straight on the benefits of full practice authority (FPA) for nurse practitioners.

We Need to Let Lawmakers know that Florida’s patients deserve to have the same access to the quality care provided by Nurse Practitioners with FPA in 22 other states and in the VA in all 50 states.

YOUR Help is Critical to the success of this bill! Please donate or become a member to help us move forward.

We Need YOU! The more people who can donate, the stronger our campaign will be!

TOGETHER WE CAN BE VICTORIOUS!

"URGENT MESSAGE"

"HB 821 is moving through the Florida House. This bill allows Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners to practice independently without the requirement of a physician protocol. To qualify for this “autonomous practice,” an APRN would ONLY have to complete 2,000 clinical practice hours within five years under the supervision of a physician and complete a graduate level course in pharmacology.

This autonomous practice would include the ability to admit, manage and discharge patients from hospitals and other facilities, and to provide a signature for any document required to be signed by a physician. Additionally, this bill allows physician assistants to become “autonomous physician assistants” and to practice primary care WITHOUT physician supervision. This is a HUGE scope of practice expansion bill

Stopping legislation isn’t easy. It’s critical to have the right legislators in place to fight for the physicians. The FMA PAC works hard for you to ensure we have a pro-medicine legislature and we need your help to continue fighting bad bills like HB 821. Please donate $250 to the FMA PAC today and help us stand strong against independent practice for APRNs."
