Posted over 6 years ago
Greetings All,
I am Susan Smith, your CFANPC Nominations chair and I am writing today to encourage all NP members to consider participating on our board-- either as a board member or committee volunteer. Elections are held each October, so it’s time to start considering a position.
Qualifications:
A member of the CFANPC in good standing who holds a Florida license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse shall be eligible for nomination and election.
Here is a description of a few of our leadership positions:
President’s Duties
The President shall serve as the CEO of the Council. The President shall serve as bylaws chairperson and be responsible for maintaining and calling for reviews of the bylaws. The President shall be chairperson of and preside at all meetings.
Vice-President/President Elect's Duties
The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence. The Vice-President shall be considered the president-elect and shall assume the office of President at the end of the term.
Secretary’s Duties
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings and conduct all correspondence, prepare the Executive Board meeting minutes and send to the President for review. The Executive Board shall approve these minutes at the following Executive Board meeting. They shall be posted in the website to all members subsequently. There is also a Secretary – Elect who will assist and be mentored by the acting secretary in order to assume that role the following year.
I will share role descriptions for our Committee Descriptions in upcoming announcements and encourage you to contact me if I can answer any questions.
