Here are the Bios of our amazing candidates for the 2021 CFANPC Board. The link for voting will be included in the next announcement. Please cast your vote! We greatly appreciate all those who stepped up to participate in the face of the pandemic.
Deborah Tedesco, DNP, APRN is seeking the office of CFANPC President-Elect. She hopes to work with the incoming President LaMisa Rayside to increase membership among new APRNs and student APRNs, to plan and implement a mentorship program to encourage new members to seek leadership roles within the organization, to expand continuing education opportunities for the CFANPC membership, and to increase the visibility of APRNs throughout the community through group volunteer efforts.
Dr. Tedesco has been active on the CFANPC Board for several years, holding the positions of Secretary-Elect, Vice President, President and her current position, Immediate Past President. She coordinates group volunteer activities for CFANPC membership. Dr. Tedesco is also active with the Florida Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses, currently serving as their Recording Secretary. She is the Secretary for the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network and a Board Trustee of the FNPN Political Action Committee
Dr. Tedesco has been a nurse practitioner for over 20 years. She completed her BSN and DNP degrees at the University of Central Florida and her MSN at the University of Florida. She is certified in adult health, pain management nursing, and wound care. Her current role is in the outpatient clinic of Orlando Health, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Institute. Her research and quality improvement interests include improving the patient experience, managing expectations related to surgery, and effective postoperative pain management while limiting the use of opioids. Dr. Tedesco is an adjunct instructor in the DNP program at UCF and is a preceptor of UCF APRN students. She also mentors new nurses through the American Nurses Association and nursing students through UCF.
Jean Davis, DNP, FNP-BC, PHCNS-BC is currently in her first year of service as the Scholarship Chair on the Board of the Central Florida Advanced Nursing Practice Council. Jean would like to serve another term.
Current in both clinical and educational practice, Jean’s career experience fits well with the Scholarship Chair position. Having been a student for many years, Jean relates to applicants, understanding how scholarships pave the way to advanced practice education, optimal patient care, and career advancement.
It is a joy to work with the other members of the CFANPC Board to further our Council values of high quality, cost-effective health care. The Council believes that continuing education is essential to professional growth, excellence in clinical practice, and optimal patient outcomes. These values and beliefs align with Jean’s professional values and are an important part of why she seeks another term as Scholarship Chair.
Debbie Conner, Ph.D., MSN, ANP/FNP-BC, FAANP has been a nurse for over 20 years, including multiple roles in private practice, campus health and wellness, and academia. Dr. Conner has served as a consultant for several nursing programs developing nurse practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. She serves as an on-site evaluator and consultant for nursing accreditation and served on the Arizona Board of Nursing Advanced Practice Committee and the Washington State Nursing Commission program approval panel. Dr. Conner has been recognized by her peers as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Rand Wartman / Kadlec Distinguished Chair in Nursing at Washington State University. Recently she was appointed as a Trustee to the Florida Nurses Foundation. She has been active in nursing professional organizations including the Florida Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Chapters, CCNE, and Southern Nursing Research Society, holding elected positions and nominating committee/chair. Dr. Conner has been recognized for her service by multiple organizations including the Governor's Point of Light Award (twice) and by Barry University Alumni Association as a Distinguished Graduate. She was appointed for two consecutive terms by the Governor of Florida to the Children’s Trust Governing Board. With almost 7 million dollars in grants and foundation funding, Dr. Conner has successfully led programs in nursing education and healthcare with these funds. She has published and presented her work at local, national, and international venues and has a small private practice in integrated holistic health.
Kelly Parker RN, BSN, MSN is seeking the newly created position of Continuing Education Chair.
I am a dedicated healthcare professional with 27 years of nursing experience in the field. I am dedicated to women’s health care. I have a strong amount of compassion for my patients and strive to listen to their concerns. Practiced in a variety of health care settings, treating patients with a variety of illnesses and injuries. Team player ready to provide seamless collaborative care for patients.

Lotricia Guerrier, ARNP/CNS, CCNS, FNP-BC
Lotricia is a dual APRN and CNS functioning in a supervisory role over APNs at the VA Medical Center.
She is a candidate for Membership Chair and has held numerous roles on the Board, including past president.
Neisha Mulchan, MSN, APRN is a dynamic NP with a strong interest in improving the CFANPC Social Media presence. She is a published author and has extensive experience with a variety of social media
Barbara Lennon is a CNS with Nemours Hospital and has done an excellent job of continuing to secure educational opportunities for our group throughout the Pandemic. She is seeking re-election as the Education Chair.
Krysta Sands, MSN, APRN is approaching the end of her first year as a Nurse Practitioner. She recognizes the importance of participating on a local level to improve engagement and support NP practice. She seeks the position of Hospitality Chair.
Patrice Muse, MSN, APRN-C has served in numerous roles on the CFANPC Board. Her specialty is wound care. She seeks to continue her support of our organization in the role of Treasurer.
Susan Smith, Ph.D., APRN-C, FAANP is a Burn Trauma Nurse Practitioner in Orlando with 30 years of nursing experience, specializing in the care of burn-injured patients. Dr. Smith is nationally certified as a Family Practice and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, First Assist, Wound Care Certified and is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is an active member of her local NP group and has held several board positions, including being past president. She seeks to be elected to the role of Secretary.
