CFANPC Elected Board Member Opportunity 

 

Nominations are now open for 3 offices including Vice President/President-Elect (President),Treasurer-Elect (Treasurer), and Secretary-Elect (Secretary) 

The term of office is 1 year, February to February. The commitment is for 2 years, serving the first year as the Officer Elect and the second year as the Official Officer.    

Qualifications of elected officers include being a member of CFANPC in good standing and holding an active license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

Duties of the Elected Office: 

President shall  

  • serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Council; serve as bylaws chairperson and be responsible for maintaining and calling for reviews of the bylaws; be the chairperson of and preside at all meetings (or designee). 

 

Vice-President shall  

  • perform the duties of the President in his/her absence; be considered the President-elect  
  • President-elect shall assume the office of the President at the end of the term. 

 

Secretary shall  

  • keep the minutes of all meetings and conduct all correspondence; prepare the Executive Board meetings minutes promptly and send to the President for review before the next Executive Board Meeting; prepare the monthly General Membership meeting minutes promptly and send them to the President for review before the next membership meeting; make reports as determined by the offices.  
  • Secretary-elect shall assist the Secretary and perform duties in his/her absence or as needed and assume the office of Secretary at the end of the term 

 

Treasurer shall 

  • be in charge of the funds and financial records; oversee accounting procedures for the handling of funds; be responsible for the disbursement of funds; post for review the financial status information at each Executive Board meeting; file the Florida Corporation Annual Report in March annually and update the Board; be the Registered Agent before the Florida Department of State Division Corporation; post the annual financial report to the Board and general members; post the next annual proposed budget forecast 
  • Treasurer-elect shall assist the Treasurer and perform duties in his/her absence or as needed and assume the office of Treasurer at the end of the term
