Annual Holiday Party Speaker Spolight: Karolina Skrzypek MD MBA FMACP

Dr. Karolina Skrzypek is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She recently opened her first clinic, “Natura Integrative and Functional Medicine” in Longwood, FL. She is licensed in both Florida and Michigan and accepts patients both in-person and through Telemedicine in both states. In the past, she worked as a Faculty Hospitalist for the University of Michigan and then a Primary Care Physician for a practice affiliated with Henry Ford Macomb in Chesterfield, MI. More recently, she held the position of Medical Director in Provider Engagement at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where she was a strong advocate for both patients and physicians. During her time with BCBSM, she helped to launch many programs that addressed social determinants of health, team-based care in primary care clinics and addressing health disparities. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She earned her Medical Degree in her home country of Poland at Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków. Furthermore, she then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. While on faculty at the University of Michigan, she started to learn about evidence-based care using Integrative Medicine and completed a Faculty Scholar Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Michigan. She then went on to complete a fellowship at the Andrew Weill center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She recently earned her MBA with a subspecialty in medical management through the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Skrzypek stated she is looking forward to continuing to get to know the provider community in Central Florida and providing care to patients in our region.
