Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner Preparedness Survey

Posted over 11 years ago by Carol A Fain

Dear CFANPC Member,

My name is Elaine Borne and I am a hospitalist nurse practitioner in Jacksonville, Florida.   I am in my final year of doctorate study at Jacksonville University and conducting research on the educational preparedness of NPs for the role of hospitalist provider.

I have asked CFANPC to assist me with my investigation.  With approval of the CFANPC committee, I have been granted permission to post my research survey on their website.  If you are a hospitalist NP or have prior experience in the role, I am asking you to please take a few minutes to complete my electronic survey.  It is located on the CFANPC website under the "survey tab" on the left-hand side of the home page.  Information regarding the goals of the study, the risks involved for you as a participant, and my contact information are all located on the webpage.

The survey will remain posted from January 6th to February 3rd, 2014.  It will be open to members and nonmembers of the organization.  If you know any hospitalist NPs or those with prior experience, who are not members of CFANPC, I ask that you please inform them of the opportunity to participate.

Thank you in advance for assisting me in my research. I truly believe the outcomes of this study will inform educators how to better prepare NPs for the role of hospitalist provider and assist hospital medicine groups in developing training programs for new or inexperience hospitalist NPs.

Sincerely,

Elaine Borne, ARNP-BC
