Legislative Update

Hello Colleagues!

Good news!  HB7113 passed a vote of the full house on Friday afternoon (74 yays; 42 nays)!  The massive "train" bill that grants NP independence and telemedicine privileges has now been referred to the Health Policy, Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services and Appropriations committees of the Florida Senate.  Lobbyists from FNA, FLANP and FNPN are working diligently behind the scenes to assist this bill in getting on the Senate calendar.

This is the last week of the legislative session in Tallahassee. YOU can assist our lobbyists effort of trying to bring the Senate Version of HB7113 to the floor for a vote this week by writing to your senators and rallying your "circle of influence" to do the same!

Keep the message simple:  "Please support the senate version of HB7113 to help Floridians obtain appropriate, accessible and affordable health care.". Find your senator and WRITE THEM NOW!  WE NEED EVERY NP IN MOTION!  We are "all in" at this point!  http://www.flsenate.gov/Senators/Find
