Business Meeting Thursday June 21, 2012

Hello Team,

Next week our CFANPC Meeting will have an invited guess for our Business meeting after the main lecture. Here is the bio for Dr. Ying Mai Kung:

Dr. Kung is a Family Nurse Practitioner for 24 years and a RN for 30 years.  She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from University of Florida, a Post-Master’s Nurse Educator Certificate from Florida State University (FSU), a Master’s in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Emory University, and a BSN from University of Texas at Austin.  She was in full-time clinical practice until 2010 when she transition to a full-time faculty position at FSU.  She is an author, a public speaker, an advocate, and a researcher.  She has published in many nursing journals and is a regular contributing author for the ADVANCE for NPs and PA’s DNP Answer Blog.  She has presented in multiple local, regional, and national conferences.  Her advocacy, practice, and research efforts are focused on innovative practice models to improve patients’ access to safe, high quality healthcare.  Specific interest areas include:  influenza vaccination, DNP, APN legislative issues, legal/risk management issues, cluster headaches, athletic physicals, and nurses’ use of social media.
