Seeking volunteers for CFANPC Board Member Nominations

Dear CFANPC Members;

It's time to begin the CFANPC election process and we are now accepting nomination for leadership positions!!!! In ordered to be considered for office, you need only be a member of the CFANPC in good standing and possess a Florida Advanced Practice Nursing License.

The offices which are open for nominations include:

  1. Vice President (President-Elect)
    The Vice President shall:Assume the duties of the President should the president be absent or unable to serve and assume the office of President at the end of their termServe as CEO and as bylaws chairperson, maintaining and calling for reviews of the bylaws.Be chairperson of and preside at all meetings

    Assume other duties as assigned by the President.

  2. Treasurer-Elect
    The Treasurer-elect shall:Assist the Treasurer in their duties or assume their responsibilities if unable to serve and assume the office of Treasurer at the end of their term.Oversee the accounting procedures for handling of funds and be responsible for the disbursement of funds.Report on the financial status at each Executive Board meeting and submit the annual financial report.Keep a register of all members of the Council.Maintain and updated membership listFile the Florida Corporation Annual Report in the month of March of each year.The treasurer shall submit the next annual budget forecast at the November Board meeting.

  3. Secretary-Elect
    The Secretary-elect shall:Assist the Secretary in their duties and assume their responsibilities if absent or unable to serve.Keep the minutes of all meetings and conduct all correspondence.Prepare the Executive Board meeting minutes in a timely manner and send to the President for review before the next Executive Board meeting.Prepare the monthly Membership meeting minutes in a timely manner and send to the President for review before the next Membership meeting. The Secretary shall make reports as determined by the officers.Assist the Secretary and perform his/her duties in his/her absence or as needed and shall assume the office of Secretary at the end of the term.

  4. Nominating Committee Chair
    The Nominating Committee chair shall:Prepare a slate of nominees for elected officesCollect the nominees bios for placement at the CFANPC website

  5. Membership Committee Chair
    The Membership Committee Chair shall: Assure all paid members meet the qualifications for membership and are eligible to attend meetings as designated by invitation availability.

  6. Hospitality Committee Chair
    The Hospitality Committee Chair shall:Promote the growth of the Council's membership.Assist with Membership meetings sign in table and distribution of meeting materials.

  7. Education/Program Committee Chair
    The Education/Program Committee Chair shall: Arrange for speakers for the membership meetings, including assistance with venue, invitations, and sponsors.

  8. Website Committee Chair
    The Website Committee Chair shall:Publish quarterly newslettersAssist with CFANPC site enhancement and maintenance.

  9. Legislative Committee Chair
    The Legislative Committee Chair shall:Serve as a liaison between the Florida Nurses Association and the CFANPC.Attend legislative meetings periodically and provide current legislative issues to the members.

  10. Scholarship Committee Chair
    The Scholarship Committee Chair shall: Coordinate the selection of the individuals to be awarded according to the Executive Board decisions.Revise criteria, policy, and procedure for the scholarship to be voted by members periodically.

Nominations for elections will be accepted from September 18, 2014 through November 1, 2014. If you are interested in being considered for a position, please submit your contact information to any of the current CFANPC board members. After all nominations have been submitted, a ballot will be prepared and elections are scheduled to take place during the November dinner meeting. Your involvement is critical to the CFANPC's continued growth and we look forward to your more active participation in our organization.
